Why I started ‘I Wear Your Hat’

Starting a business is tough, no doubt about it.

When I founded OverHair, Inc. in May 2024, I faced the same struggles many entrepreneurs do—no startup capital, difficulty finding the right talent, and challenges in bringing on the right partners. I knew it would be hard, but knowing it and living it are two different things.

After taking a step back, I realized something important: if I wanted this business to succeed, I had to take control of my own funding. Instead of waiting for the perfect circumstances, I had to create them myself.

That’s why I launched I Wear Your Hat, LLC a business built on creativity and determination. Every day in 2026, I’ll wear a different hat, sent by businesses and individuals who want their brand seen. The price starts at $1 on January 1, 2026 and increases by $1 per day until it reaches $365 on December 31, 2026—meaning if I sell out every day, I’ll have raised $66,795 in revenue to fund my vision.

This isn’t just about hats. It’s about proving that unconventional ideas can work. It’s about believing in yourself enough to build something from nothing. If you’ve ever felt stuck—wondering how to take your dream from concept to reality—know that you can do it. It won’t be easy, but that’s exactly why it will be worth it.

I’m ready to hit the ground running. Let’s go! Thanks for reading.
